Scientific information about some of the ingredients in the product

  • L-glutathion: is a low molecular weight thiol-tripeptide, with 3 amino acids: cysteine, glutamic and glycine, sulfhydryl (-SH) bonding structure. In the body, there exists a mutual conversion between the reduced form (GSH) and the oxidized form (GSSG), through two enzymes glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase. It is a powerful endogenous antioxidant, helps neutralize harmful free radicals, and minimizes the adverse effects from oxidative stress episodes caused by endogenous and exogenous causes. L-glutathion also effectively brightens the skin by inhibiting tyrosinase activity by using a thiol complexing group with copper ions in the tyrosinase structure, inactivating this enzyme. This component also interferes with the intracellular metabolism of tyrosinase, preventing the formation of premelanosomes (prerequisites for melanin synthesis). In addition, L-glutathione also modulates the synthesis of eumelanin and pheomelanin by changing the position of interaction between the thiol group and dopa-quinone, leading to the formation of a sulfhydryl-dopa complex, resulting in a decrease in the synthesis of dark eumelanin and increasing the synthesis of pheomelanin. [S. Sonthalia and K. Jha, “Glutathione for skin lightening: a regnant myth or evidence-based verity?”, Dermatol Pract Concept magazine, published 2018]
  • Coenzym Q10: a natural component present in the body, with the role of cellular respiration and energy generation. It is also a powerful endogenous antioxidant, helping to protect the body and skin from harmful free radicals, oxidative stress episodes especially with increasing age, and frequent exposure to UV radiation. sunshine. [K. Zmitek and T. Pogacnik, “The effect of dietary intake of coenzyme Q10 on skin parameters and condition: Results of a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study”, BioFactors magazine, 2016]
  • L-cysteine: amino acid in the body, containing –SH radical, helps neutralize harmful free radicals. This ingredient also aids in improving skin pigmentation by interacting with Dopaquinon to create Cystinyldop, which regulates the melanin formation. [Bilqees Sameem, Fazlullah Khan and Kamal Niaz, “L-Cysteine”, Nonessential Nutrients, Part 2, 2018]
  • Vitamin C: The scientific name is ascorbic acid, a skin lightening and antioxidant ingredient that is commonly used in both skin and oral route. Vitamin C helps inhibit tyrosinase, reduces melanin synthesis, while enhancing collagen production, fighting free radicals and strengthening the body’s resistance. [Juliet M. Pullar, Anitra C. Carr and Margreet C. M. Vissers, “The Roles of Vitamin C in Skin Health”, Nutrients magazine, published in 2017]
  • Vitamin B12: also known as cobalamin, helps to regulate the synthesis of pigments, while vitamin B12 also helps promote metabolism, improving skin health. [Jennifer Brescoll and Steven Daveluy, “A Review of Vitamin B12 in Dermatology”, American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, 2015]
  • Polypodium leucotomos extract: A fern native to Central America, which has been studied against damaging free radicals very well. Extracts also help reduce the activity of MMPs, help prevent collagen destruction in the body, maintain the structure and elasticity of the skin. [Brian Berman, Craig Elmets and Charles N Ellis, “Polypodium Leucotomos – An Overview of Basic Investigative Findings,” Journal of drugs in dermatology, published 2016]
  • Peach extract powder: Peach extract, contains many essential vitamins that help fight oxidation, improve structure and nourish healthy glowing skin.
